Spark (noun) : Something that sets off a sudden force
Spark (transitive verb) : to set off in a burst of sudden activity
Spark… It’s that coveted moment where a notion you have been churning on finally clicks into place. It’s that visceral wave you experience when you are inspired. It’s the sensation you feel when a dream or ambition starts to come to fruition.
A spark’s impetus can be a new idea, a new relationship, or a new perspective. It can be drawn from an infinite pool of people, places, and experiences, and when it happens, it’s unmistakable in its power.
When we think about what ignites a spark in our own work, we continually come back to what happens when we gather a group of passionate humans and provide them with the time and space to surface their brilliance in proximity to others. We have seen, and felt, that spark in our Adult Learning experiences, like the Iterative Space Residency and Embark Learning Explorations. And, it’s a spark we are hoping to share and cultivate with you in a brand new offering.
The intention is for these conversations to be inherently reciprocal by nature; guests are encouraged to actively engage directly with the speakers, and one another, throughout each session. Our hope is that by holding space for challenging and spirited conversations, we’ll be empowered to learn from new perspectives, and perhaps even leave with a new perspective of our own.
