I come to Embark as a middle school educator with nearly a decade of experience transforming classrooms for diverse learners. My career began outside of Boston where I consistently pushed boundaries to enhance learning experiences by recognizing that youth have as much to teach as they do to learn. I strive to create and refine learning opportunities to be a precise blend of authenticity and creativity–resulting in impactful and meaningful experiences for learners, and I believe in fostering an environment where every learner’s unique story drives their learning and societal transformation. As a Korean adoptee who has embraced my complex identity, I reimagine education by helping learners harness their intersectionalities as sources of strength to elevate their voices. I am thrilled to be on the educator team here at Embark because I value teamwork and co-creation. It energizes me that I am able to leverage that co-creation to encourage our learners to be active-change makers who have impact far beyond school walls.
