The Journey: Welcome to the Embark Blog

“Embark Education is a launch pad for adolescents inherent intellectual curiosity” is blazed across our website homepage and we embrace the challenge of redefining the learning journey for our students and learners in the future.  “The Journey” is a blog that will capture the Embark voyage from the perspective of me, the Director of Embark, educators and students.  We will be sharing thoughts, reflections, growth.

Embark Education is an innovative micro school designed for 7th and 8th grade students.  Learning at Embark is embedded into two North Denver businesses, Pinwheel Coffee and Framework Cycles, which grounds students’ academics in real-world situations.  Our curriculum is woven together so that neither content or skills are learned in isolation.  We are a learner centered school where each student that walks through our doors is recognized as a unique human at their own waypoint on their learning journey; each of them has their own social emotional wellbeing, hopes and backstory.
