Alex Wenzel
Alexandria Wenzel is a passionate and transformative educational leader with extensive experience in social justice, academic excellence, and global citizenship.
Currently, she is the Director of Learner-Centered Curriculum and Instruction at Embark Education, a micro middle school in North Denver embedded in the small business, Pinwheel Coffee. Embark supports students to courageously inquire, engage, and discover a sense of self in a learner-centered environment.
Previously, as Principal at Denver Center for International Studies at Fairmont, Alex pushed the paradigm on how public elementary schools can support personalized and community-embedded learning for young students She has taught and led globally in four countries—Singapore, Venezuela, South Korea, and the USA—bringing diverse educational perspectives and practices, strategic context, and creative new ideas to her work. These experiences have enriched her approach to fostering inclusive and innovative learning environments.
Alex is known and respected for bringing direction to action and structure to delivery. She holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master's in Education, and has co-founded the nonprofit ReGEN. Her expertise spans leadership, curriculum design, restorative justice, and culturally responsive education.
